| Import shipments from China |
Chennai & Vizag customs got the information about illegal import of NARCOTICS worth 280 Cr hence they took decision to hold all delivery of import shipments from CHINA. From the sources in the consignment of Chinese TEA, in the bottom they found drugs worth 280 Cr.
From Yesterday, there is an internal instruction from customs to all custodian of cargo including port terminal, Airport & all CFS to hold all consignments which are originated from CHINA. The official trade notice from CUSTOMS or DGFT still awaited. As per source cargoes will not be STOPPED but will be reexamined even cargo which has been given out of charge will be reexamined
